Moreover, the interpretation can be simultaneous or consecutive.

Simultaneous interpreting is generally used at large events such as conferences, seminars, congresses where two or more languages are used or needed. It represents the process by which an authorized interpreter reproduces the conversation in the target language, without waiting for the end of the speech in the source language, the interpretation taking place in real time, with the help of technical equipment. And it, in turn, is divided into two types: conference interpreting (the interpreter works in a soundproof booth, listens to the speaker's message on the headset, plays it almost simultaneously into the microphone, and the audience in the room can listen to it on headphones) and chochoutage / whispering (when the interpreter is in the middle of a smaller group of listeners and reproduces the speaker's message at a lower intensity, but which can be easily perceived, or next to a certain person and interprets directly within earshot).

Consecutive interpreting is used in the case of small groups, business meetings, tourist guides or in various situations of legal relevance (before the registrar, at the conclusion of notarial deeds, in the presence of criminal investigation bodies). This is the method by which a presenter is allowed to speak for a certain period of time (usually less than a minute) after which the interpreter translates into the target language. Consecutive interpreting can be done in different fields and on different occasions (video conferencing, telephone interpreting, services for tourist guides, business meetings, trainings or small workshops).
